Refunds & Warranty Policy
6 Month Limited Warranty
By purchasing a pre-owned device from EZ TECH , you agree to the following warranty terms and conditions:
WARRANTY PERIOD
This warranty is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase as indicated on your invoice. This is a Carry-In warranty; the customer is responsible for any costs associated with bringing or sending the device to the EZ TECH service centre.
HARDWARE COVERAGE
We guarantee that your device will be free from technical hardware defects for the duration of the 6-month period. This includes:
• Internal Components: Motherboard, CPU, and internal circuitry
• Display: Screen malfunctions, e.g., flickering or backlight failure,
not caused by physical impact
• Memory & Storage:Failure of RAM or SSD/HDD
EXCLUSIONS (WHAT IS NOT COVERED)
Consumables:
Batteries and chargers are considered consumable items and carry a limited 30-day health guarantee only.
Software:
EZ TECH does not warrant the Operating System, BIOS updates, or third-party software. Issues caused by malware, viruses, or “corrupt” updates are excluded.
Accidental Damage:
Any damage caused by drops, spills, pressure, or improper handling.
Power Surges:
Damage resulting from lightning or electrical surges, e.g., during load shedding, is not covered. We highly recommend using a high-quality surge protector.
Cosmetic Condition:
Scratches, dents, or wear-and-tear consistent with the age of a pre-owned laptop.
TERMS FOR VOIDING WARRANTY
The warranty is automatically voided if:
• The EZ TECH Warranty Seal is broken, removed, or tampered with.
• The device has been opened or serviced by any third party or
the customer.
• The device shows signs of liquid ingress or internal corrosion.
RESOLUTION PROCESS
1. Repair: EZ TECH reserves the right to repair the faulty hardware first.
2. Replace:If a repair is not possible, we will replace the unit with a model of equivalent or better specifications.
3. Refund:A refund is only offered as a last resort if repair or replacement is not feasible.
DATA RESPONSIBILITY
EZ TECH is not liable for any data loss.
It is the customer’s responsibility to back up all data before booked-in services.
